Toyota Opens Battery Plants For Hybrid Trucks and Cars
June 5th, 2008 | by admin |The Toyota Motor Company has announced that it has plans to open two different plants designed to make the batteries that are used in Toyota Hybrid Cars and Toyota Hybrid Trucks. These Toyota Hybrid battery plants will allow the company to become more efficient at mass-producing the batteries that are needed to make their cars run efficiently and yet keep the costs of buying one of these cars low.
Plans for Toyota Hybrid Battery Plants
There will be two new battery plants opening as the result of combined efforts between the Toyota company and a leading electronics maker called Matsushita. Together, these Toyota Hybrid battery plants will increase production of the batteries used in Toyota Hybrid Cars and Toyota Hybrid Trucks to an estimated one million batteries per year within the next three years.
Investment Benefits Toyota Hybrid Cars
This type of investment will cost Toyota some money initially but it will ultimately mean that the company will save on costs by mass producing the batteries that are used in Toyota Hybrid Cars. This will mean that the company can ultimately look at lowering the base price of Toyota Hybrid Cars.
News for Toyota Hybrid Trucks and SUVs
It isn’t only Toyota Hybrid Cars that will end up lower in price as a result of the new Toyota Hybrid battery plants. These batteries can also be used in Toyota Hybrid Trucks and SUVs. That means that there is a chance that the cost of these vehicles will also be able to be lowered over time.
